Aftercare Guide

Your Elite Hair Extensions are an investment in yourself. Crafted from ethically sourced Russian hair and made bespoke to order, they deserve the finest care. Follow this guide and your extensions will reward you with lasting beauty.

Washing

Less is more when it comes to washing your extensions. Over-washing strips the hair of its natural moisture and reduces longevity.

  • Wash no more than 1–2 times per week.
  • Always brush through gently before washing to remove tangles.
  • Use a sulphate-free, alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner — we recommend products formulated specifically for hair extensions.
  • Wash in a smooth, downward motion. Never scrub or pile the hair on top of your head.
  • Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends only — keep it away from the bonds or weft attachment points.
  • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Hot water weakens bonds over time.

Drying

  • Gently squeeze excess water from the hair using a soft microfibre towel — never rub.
  • Apply a heat protection spray before using any heated tools.
  • Air dry where possible for the healthiest result. If using a hairdryer, use a low to medium heat setting.
  • Never go to bed with wet extensions. This is one of the leading causes of matting and tangling.

Brushing & Detangling

  • Use a soft-bristle or loop brush designed specifically for hair extensions.
  • Always start at the ends and work upward toward the roots in sections.
  • Hold the hair firmly at the root when brushing to avoid placing tension on the bonds or wefts.
  • Brush gently at least twice daily to keep the hair smooth and tangle-free.
  • Apply a lightweight hair oil or serum to the mid-lengths and ends daily to maintain hydration and shine.

Heat Styling

  • Always apply a heat protectant before styling.
  • Keep heated tools below 180°C wherever possible.
  • Avoid applying direct heat to the bonds or nano ring attachment points.
  • Use ceramic or tourmaline tools for a smoother, less damaging finish.

Sleeping

  • Plait or loosely tie your hair in a low braid or ponytail before bed.
  • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to minimise friction, frizz, and breakage overnight.

Swimming & Sun

  • Wear hair in a plait or upstyle when swimming. Chlorine and salt water are highly drying.
  • Rinse and condition your extensions immediately after swimming.
  • Apply a UV protection spray during prolonged sun exposure to prevent colour fade and dryness.

Maintenance Appointments

  • Nano ring extensions require a move-up appointment every 6–8 weeks as your natural hair grows.
  • Weft extensions should be checked and repositioned by a professional as needed.
  • Never attempt to remove or re-apply extensions yourself — always see a trained stylist.
